The H/P/A/V/C scene is all about sharing information, but that dosn't seem to be happening lately. If it carries on then there will just be no point in having Bulletin Boards and groups, everybody may as well just go independant. Having said this there are still people in the H/P/A/V/C scene who don't try to find out how to do things for themselves, they just sit around and wait for other people to tell them everything. These are the people that join a BBS or a group, take what information they can get, and don't put anything back. To these people all I have to say is get off your ass and do something for the scene. Start experimenting with lines such as China and when you find something post it. If everybody did this, and we all worked together we could gain so much, but as it stands nobody is willing to give out what they know, and this is not how it should be. So maybe if everybody knows about things then maybe they won't last as long, but there will always be other ways. And consider this, don't you think that if British Telecom were serious about stopping phreakers blueboxing then they would have done something to stop it by now? It has been going on for so many years yet nothing has been done to put a stop to it *PERMANENTLY*. The reason for this is probably that British Telecom don't lose any money whether we box or not, so therefore they are not bothered. The only time they will ever do anything about it is if the remote phone company complains. As long as that phone company still uses the same equipment and doesn't upgrade their lines then we will still be able to abuse them. The simple fact of the matter is that they still need the routes to other countries so all they can do is change them and make life more difficult for us. Before I go any further with this file I would just like to say thanks to the people that have helped me in the past. Darkcyde for giving me my very first boxing program and introducing me to phreaking, Scribla for helping Darkcyde get started in the first place, and Smurf for running the Duk And Cover BBS from which I have downloaded many a phreaking file. The scene needs more people like this who are willing to help people and give them the information they need. There will probably be a few eLiTe's out there who will want to tear my guts out for letting out the secret, but I don't care as I think that people deserve to know. -Fugitive- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- After many months of eLiTes being secretive about the China Home Country Direct service (0800 890 086) I have decided to let you all know what I have discovered. I have found that there are many different seizes that will all work for China, but will have different effects. The following two are the best that I have found. One will only work if the operator picks up, and you will be able to re-seize almost as many times as you like, and the other one will work at any time, but will make China hang up if you try to seize twice or more. Use the following seize if the operator picks up: Tone 1 : 2600hz/2397hz Hold: 180 Delay: 30 Tone 2 : 2100hz/2100hz Hold: 180 Delay: 30 Tone 3 : 2400hz/2400hz Hold: 180 Delay: 30 When you seize it will either return you with one, two, or three pleeps. If you get one or two pleeps then just dial your number, if you get three then you are fucked and it will hang up shortly. Use the following seize while it rings: Tone 1 : 2600hz/2400hz Hold: 340 Delay: 50 Tone 2 : 2400hz/2400hz Hold: 180 Delay: 300 This seize will give you the normal two pleeps, you then just dial your number. The following is a list of routes that I have found for various countries. Try KP2-7-Area-Number-ST for some place in Russia. What I find it does is put me out on a trunk to Russia (maybe) that has some line noise but doesn't do anything else. There may be other routes but when I tried them all I got was a pleep then an engaged tone from China, but as it does this also if the number you are calling is engaged so I can't be sure. You'll probably be too busy calling loads of boards but in case you're interested there are some partylines in the USA on the following numbers. B-10-515-945-6600-C is an Adult partyline. B-10-515-945-6700-C is a partyline for rock fans but occasionaly there are phreakers on there. B-10-515-945-6332-C will give you a list of current lines. One other small thing worth a mention is that there will be a short time delay on all lines. For example when choosing an option on a menu on one of the partylines it will take about a second and a half for it to hear your tone, presumably because of the long distance involved.
